Integrating millimeter wave with hybrid precoding multiuser massive MIMO for 5G communication

    Get PDF
Nowadays, there has been growing interest in the Massive MIMO as a result of improving throughput by leveraging spatial freedom and array gain. It is equipped with millimeter wave (mm Wave) bands to resolve the high path-loss. It is known from the literature that iterated algorithms are usually used to attain the hybrid precoders to accomplish a specific optimization objective. Thus, the complexity remains high because each iteration may include singular value decomposition, the matrix inversion, and so on that motivates us to split the hybrid precoding and combining problem into sub-problems. The proposed solution is a multi-user Massive MIMO hybrid beamforming based on a convex optimization problem that is applied and solved for estimating the digital precoding to eliminate inter-user interference while using codebooks to select analog beamformers. It is apparent in the majority of cases; the proposed beamforming performance is higher than only-analog beamforming, single-user (no interference), the ZF precoding, the MMSE precoding, and the Kalman precoding where the full digital solution is a considerable as the benchmark point with different scenarios due to the reduction of user interference. Thus, there is no consideration for complicated operations such as SVD or inversion matrices as well as no need for data estimation. Our proposed solution can serve a large number of users simultaneously due to more directive gain by using numerous antennas at BS. Based on its less complexity and keeping performance, our solution can be recommended

Long-Term Advancement Progressed (LTE-ADV) is the advancement of the long-term evolution, which created via 3GPP. LTE-ADV aims to offer a transmission bandwidth of (100) MHz by using Carrier Aggregation (CA) to aggregate LTE-ADV carriers. To increase the data capacity of the system and resource allocation converts a very good tool. LTE-Advanced multiple Component Carriers (CCs) becomes a difficult optimization problem. In the paper proposes a new scheduling algorithm and compares with a different scheduling traditional algorithms that are proportional fair and round robin in the CA, in order to find the best scheduler that provides high-quality throughput and improves fairness. It i also evaluates mapping model types are Mutual Information Effective SINR Mapping (MIESM) and Exponential Effective SINR Mapping (EESM). The results show that the throughput in the proposed algorithm with MIESM outperforms from others mapping and scheduling

Constant Bit Rate For Video Streaming Over Packet Switching Networks

This paper proposed a technique of bit-rate control for video streaming over constant bit-rate communication channel, where the MPEG-2, standard variable bit-rate (VBR), is adapted to be used as a constant bitrate (CBR). The target image quality and output rate of the video encoder is controlled by feedback based on the buffer level. A CBR transport over networks, result is a good performance compared with that of VBR. It introduced simplicity of network monitoring and analysis, where the VBR video streaming over CBR channel can be adapted to avoid the problem of congestion of the network. This paper studies the important issue of adapting VBR-compressed video for transport over a CBR channel. The developed systems are implemented using Matlab (Ver 6.5) under Windows XP operating syste

:This paper is developed to study the compression performance of video by using searching method of motion estimation OTS and SNR scalable coding to enhance the quality of video sample. The work evaluates set of suitable objectives fidelity measures, such as MSE, PSNR and CR. The model of video coding system is designed to treat the video signal as a CBR and implemented for different video samples rates. The two major components inter and intra frames compression is achieved as an optimal compensation for both quality and CBR. In the same time the basic structure of communication networks which is represented by the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) model is taken into consideration within the system BER control. The developed system is implemented using Visual Basic Language (ver 6.0) under Windows Xp operation system

A Transfer Learning Approach for Lumbar Spine Disc State Classification

Recently, deep learning algorithms have become one of the most popular methods and forms of algorithms used in the medical imaging analysis process. Deep learning tools provide accuracy and speed in the process of diagnosing and classifying lumbar spine problems. Disk herniation and spinal stenosis are two of the most common lower back diseases. The process of diagnosing pain in the lower back can be considered costly in terms of time and available expertise. In this paper, we used multiple approaches to overcome the problem of lack of training data in disc state classification and to enhance the performance of disc state classification tasks. To achieve this goal, transfer learning from different datasets and a proposed region of interest (ROI) technique were implemented. It has been demonstrated that using transfer learning from the same domain as the target dataset may increase performance dramatically. Applying the ROI method improved the disc state classification results in VGG19 2%, ResNet50 16%, MobileNetV2 5%, and VGG16 2%. The results improved VGG16 4% and in VGG19 6%, compared with the transfer from ImageNet. Moreover, it has been stated that the closer the data to be classified is to the data that the system trained on, the better the achieved results will be

With the exponential rise in the volumes of video traffic in cellular networks, there is an urgent need for improving the quality of video delivery. This research proposes a mobile generation model based on the updated technologies of the fourth- and fifth-generation mobile systems, which is called Proposed Generation (Pro-G). This model uses wider bandwidth and advanced adaptive modulation and coding. It also incorporates the method of the adaptive video streaming of multiple video data rates by using the transcoding technique, which is called H.265 proposed (H.265 pro). Thus, both methods are tested to provide a large number of users of video/data application with more speed and best quality. A comparison with 4G technology is done to assign the development regarding number of users with data rate. The suggested video coding shows how much the overall system is more reliable over the congested channel than conventional video coding technologies such as high-efficiency video coding (HEVC/H.265) and advanced video coding (AVC/H.264). The results showed that the proposed method of transmitting wireless data is better than the LTE-ADV method. In this method, the rate of data transfer increases by 29% compared with LTE-ADV, while the bit rate saving was increased to 13% in the proposed video coding compared with that in the H.265
